Shivered

You come to me.

A skull and crossbone shard of coral.

Sharp.

Worn smooth.

Wisdom of a hundred ages old.

Scars fade.

Sand falls away.

You seek to discover the treasures I forgot I had.

And I find you.

  1. My favorite part was

“You seek to discover the treasures I forgot I had.

    And I find you.”

I don’t what it is about these particular words from the lovely poem, but they hit me hard, but not in a bad way. You have an amazing repertoire in what you write about. You can make laugh, sigh, and even shed a tear and do in very few words.

BTW…you should check out this prompt site (hopefully it’s still up): http://rochellewisofffields.wordpress.com/ You have to write stories in 100 words. I gave up because I can’t do it, but some of the people write pretty stories. I have a feeling, you’d be great at it:~)
