Out of Bounds

His words might reduce you to feeling like you are a cheap dollar store vase. But they don’t.  He doesn’t get you. Even after so many years. It doesn’t matter.  Besides, he is not your bigger-picture problem, and that is something to be thankful for.

You act way too flirty. He is green-eyed. Close. You might want to watch yourself, because there could be misunderstandings.

And all because you are finally starting to smile and laugh and beam and thaw and  bloom.

Words thrown at you like stones, to break you into into pieces.

But his aim is no good.

    • Thanks Cam. I will be forever grateful I stumbled upon The Red Dress Club years ago. 🙂 I wouldn’t be the writer I am now without all of the support and encouragement you gave me, miss Move Over Mary Poppins. ❤

  1. Excellent Valerie! Loved this part “And all because you are finally starting to smile and laugh and beam and thaw and bloom.” I can see that! Bloom, woman, bloom!! Show this world who you really are and in so doing you will leave a mark that will not only help others but also yourself. Here’s a virtual high five to you!! 😀
